How do you decide on a new camera?

Choosing a camera can be daunting. There's a million factors, and everyone has their own opinions.  My personal opinion is that the best camera is the one you are willing to learn to use. If that's an iPhone, cool, use the hell out of it and make some art. Modern cameras are making it easier to take great photos, but it's on you to learn how to use it.
